Buganda launches four year football strategic plan

Buganda Kingdom has launched a four year strategic plan to develop soccer in the region at a colorful function presided over by the Vice President, Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi. The function took place at Serena Kampala Hotel.

Princess Joan Nassolo represented the Kabaka of Buganda. In his message, the Kabaka extolled the role of football in uniting people especially the youth. “However, there is still a lot of work that needs to be done. We must not only promote football, we must ensure that other sports develop,” the Kabaka said.

He called upon the Ministry of Sports to turn the strategic plan from paper into activities which are realistic and achievable.

The Vice President welcomed the plan and the role Buganda plays in the development of sport and offered the government’s support.
