Ssaabasajja Kabaka Ronald Mutebi II has instructed his Kingdom’s organs to create massive awareness regarding all programmes and plans being implemented especially land issues. The Kabaka said this will enable people make informed decision.
“We should educate our people regarding all our plans especially land so that people understand what is expected of them and make informed decisions. This is especially important that people who occupy Kabaka’s land are aware of our plans. Buganda Land Board should improve its communication programmes,” Kabaka Mutebi said in a prepared text read out during his recent to Kiboga and Kyankwanzi in Ssingo.
The Kabaka was at St Beatrice School in Kyankwanzi to award schools that won the Buganda school dance and drama competition. The Kabaka awarded St. Lawrence Ssonde, St. Paul Mugwanya Complex Masaka, and St. Peter’s Junior Primary School Kyengera as well as Lubiri High School.

Ekyapa Mu Ngalo is a campaign to ensure that people who occupy Kabaka’s land and don’t have certificates of land titles get them through leases of 49 years at discounted rates. This campaign is voluntary. However, people who wish to get leases of 75 or 99 years can also get them.
