Ngule Lager price cut as Kabaka marks 24th Coronation anniversary

Buganda Kingdom and its alcohol beverage partner Uganda Breweries have cut the price of Ngule Lager from Shs2000 to Shs1500 in a campaign dubbed Omutanda Agabudde. The campaign is aimed at promoting responsible drinking at an affordable price.

Kabaka Ronald Mutebi was coronated on July 31, 1993 at a colorful ceremony at Naggalabi Buddo restoring the kingdom that had been abolished by Milton Obotte 27 years earlier.

“As people in Buganda celebrate Kabaka’s 24th anniversary, we decided to cut the price of Ngule so that people can afford a safer alternative than drinking unprocessed beers,” Owek Mukasa Mulema, the Kingdom’s Deputy Finance and Investment Minister said. He was accompanied by Julianna Kaggwa, the Head of Marketing at Uganda Breweries.

Buganda Kingdom is in partnership with several brands to increase its come as well as ensure that Kabaka’s people get good quality products at affordable rates.
